Preparation for entering Secondary Education

In the final phase of Basic Education we make efforts to help students find their vocation and strengths. We do it to facilitate the decision they face when entering high school, choose one of the scientific-humanistic / professional training courses. Also in this sense, EITV offers free 9th grade students the possibility to carry out a series of psychometric tests at no cost.

This cycle is characterized mainly by the students' personal discovery and, at the same time, by the passage of all the indispensable tools to the next phase of their academic life.

Upon leaving basic education, students should be able to:

Mobilize cultural, scientific and technological knowledge to understand reality and to address everyday situations and problems;

Use foreign languages ​​to communicate properly in everyday situations and to appropriate information;

Use the Portuguese language correctly to communicate properly and to structure your own thinking;

Properly use languages ​​from different areas of cultural, scientific and technological knowledge to express themselves;

Adopt personalized work and learning methodologies appropriate to the objectives pursued;

Search, select and organize information to transform it into mobilizable knowledge;

Adopt appropriate strategies for problem solving and decision making;

Carry out activities in an autonomous, responsible and creative way;

Cooperate with others on common tasks and projects;

Learning Network, a school for the future.

The use of tablets, within the scope of the “Learning Network” Project, at the level of the 1st Cycle, aims to integrate the use of technology in the routines of the teaching-learning process. Likewise, the use of these resources encourages intellectual development and facilitates sharing and collaboration between students and teachers, inside and outside the classroom and classroom.

Stimulates motivation and enhances the improvement of work rhythm and autonomy.

Enables greater efficiency in the exploitation of digital resources (development of skills in the use of ICT).

Assists in the collection and organization of study materials.

Enhances collaboration between peers.
