Dear Colleagues / Educational Community
Within the scope of Hygiene and Safety at Work, it is up to us to remember and reinforce some important information that should be known to everyone:
– EITV has a Contingency Plan within the scope of Covid 19 that can be consulted on the school’s institutional website. It contains, among other information, the measures to be taken in case of symptoms of illness;

Although this Plan is currently adapted to the measures in force, it can be reactivated at any time if the evolution of the pandemic justifies it;
– In different areas of the school there are hand disinfectant solutions and all the school bathrooms have hand washing solutions;
– At EITV, the Quality Department is responsible for issues related to Hygiene and Safety at Work, with Professor Rui Santos ( [email protected] );
– EITV has a set of Self-protection Measures approved by ANEPC and in force since 2011. The document can be consulted at the School Quality Office by all interested parties;
– The list of emergency contacts (Police, Firefighters, Hospital, etc.) is available at various locations around the School, namely at the Security Post located on the central island of the School;
– There is an occurrence/non-compliance record document in place that must be used by any employee of the school as a way of reporting any malfunction or deficiency in any equipment or related to the normal functioning of the school in terms of hygiene, safety and health in the work;
– All equipment and machines at the school are subject to periodic preventive checks and maintenance, both internal and external. The reports can be consulted at the School's Quality Office by all interested parties;
– All Maintenance, Kitchen and other sectors in which it is justified have Personal Protective Equipment – PPE (shoes, gloves, etc.) suitable for the functions they perform. If you feel that there is any equipment missing that is essential to the role you perform, please send this information to the person responsible for Hygiene and Safety at Work at EITV;
– In February 2022, training in the areas of Firefighting and Self-protection Measures – Evacuation of buildings was made available to all employees. In March, a simulation exercise was carried out with the collaboration of the Torres Vedras Firefighters and the Civil Protection, whose reports can be consulted at the School's Quality Office by all interested parties;
– In December 2022, training in First Aid was carried out for a number of EITV employees;
– In March 2023, training actions are planned in the areas of Hygiene and Safety, Fire Fighting and Self-protection Measures – Evacuation of buildings about which we will provide more information in due time;
– At EITV, there are daily vegetarian lunch and diet options. Interested parties should inform DNA. Homemade Ilda ([email protected]) of that option, in a timely manner;
– All employees benefit from Occupational Accident Insurance in compliance with the law in force;
We intend to make EITV an increasingly safe and pleasant place for students and employees to work.
