School Contests
Pangea
Through the motto “Mathematics for all”, the PANGEA math competition aims to bring together students from different backgrounds, social strata and levels of education, and make them math enthusiasts. Young people will be able to share their experiences and the joy they find in mathematics.
This Contest is aimed at students from the 3rd to the 10th year of schooling and is organized in eleven other European countries: Germany, Austria, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
The main objective is to spread enthusiasm for mathematics. Our message is: “The fear of mathematics is unfounded. Everyone can be successful. ”

Biology Olympics
EITV participates annually in the Biology Olympics. This competition allows students to test their knowledge of concepts in the field of biology.
The main objectives are:
- Stimulate the taste and pleasure for Teaching and Learning Biology at secondary education level;
- Bringing the university closer to secondary education, introducing concepts and practices that introduce students to the university reality;
- Relate Biology to economic and social reality (ecology, biotechnology, conservation, etc.) promoting better citizenship;
- Promote the exchange of ideas and experiences among students, nationally and internationally;
- Establish friendly relations between young people from different countries, fostering cooperation between peoples.

Youth Parliament
EITV participates annually in this initiative with selected students through a first debate session among the lists formed at the school. In addition, the EITV also has a presentation session with a guest deputy every year, designed to introduce students to the concepts of democracy and politics.
The Youth Parliament is an initiative of the Assembly of the Republic, in partnership with other partner entities. Students from the 2nd, 3rd Cycle and secondary are invited to participate in two sessions at national level, where current issues are debated, in order to promote ideals of citizenship, ethics and civic interest and which have the participation of deputies from the Education Commission, Science and Culture.
