Cambridge Upper Secondary
Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Cambridge IGCSEs are subject-based qualifications, usually taken over a two- year period (10th-11th years) and assessment (exams) takes place at the end of the course. These qualifications are administered by Cambridge International Examinations, part of the University of Cambridge. Learners receive a certificated grade for each subject they take.
Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:
- Subject content
- Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as familiar
- Intellectual enquiry
- Flexibility and responsiveness to change
- Working and communicating in English
- Influencing outcomes
- Cultural awareness.
There is a focus on three curriculum areas, which will enable learners to embrace future opportunities, according to their abilities.
