Dear Parents & Guardians,
On November 14th, at 11h14 , a national drill called “A Terra Treme” (The Earth Shakes) (www.aterratreme.pt) will start. This is promoted by the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority – Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Proteção Civil (ANEPC).
The aim of this drill is to train the population to know how to act in the event of an earthquake, raising citizens’ awareness to the fact that they live in a society at risk, and challenging them to get involved in the process of building safer and more resilient communities.
EITV will once again be joining ANEPC in carrying out this important drill. If any class is unable to carry out the drill at the specified time because they are carrying out an assessment, another time of day will be set by the Homeroom or Head Teacher.
