Dear Parents/Guardians,
In accordance with the EITV School Calendar for this academic year, we will be holding a drill tomorrow with a full evacuation of the building. It will take place at around 15:30. I would like to remind you of some important procedures:
– evacuation of the building should only begin at the third alarm sound (two short sounds interrupted by a pause and a third prolonged);
– all materials must be left behind when leaving (don’t let students take their mobile phones);
– each class must leave the room in an orderly fashion, with the class representative/head/student designated by the teacher at the front and the teacher last, making sure that no one is left behind (in the case of Nursery and Pre-school, the assistant goes at the front and the teacher last);
– follow the evacuation routes signposted in the school and head for the meeting point (synthetic pitch). Once there, they should tell the evacuation coordinator how many students they have and if anyone has been left behind;
– at the meeting point, they should line up at the number corresponding to their classroom (the numbers are painted on the wall of the stand);
– they can only leave the meeting point once they have been signalled to do so by the Safety Officer.
